average-advice asked: Kids will do things at their own pace. I was a very early talker, my niece didn't say her first word until she was almost two. It's possible that when you are talking she is observing you and that's why she's quiet. Don't stress too much, she's still young. And congrats!

Yeah, I read on babycenter that sometimes when they stop babbling for a period of time it’s because they are trying to learn something else. Thanks:)

Should Emma be babbling and trying to talk to me. She’s 7 and a half months and she babbles a little but not like what I hear about. I know I shouldn’t compare but is there something else I could be doing to help her learn to make noises? She says “babababa” and makes raspberries and other happy noises. But when I try to hold a “conversation” with her she just quiets up? I don’t know, is there any advice you guys have for helping teach her to be vocal?

Went okay…except now I feel I need a lot of alcohol.

Am I so damn emotional? I thought that overly sensitiveness disappeared after you had baby. It’s been 7 months and I’m more emotional than ever! Crying over anything that hints towards being sweet, or sad. I even cried when the Happy Birthday comercial from the American Cancer Society came one. What is happening to me?

For lunch I felt a little fancy and made some brusceta. Emma had some custard and got to try some broccoli. I promise she loved it after this. But I saw this face and laughed for a good 5 min! Oh and she is pulling herself up onto anything she can get to…which is everything. I swear this week she’s changed so much! 

I’ve been making a lot of fabric floral accessories. And last night I was laying in bed thinking about opening up an etsy shop. Does any one have an Etsy shop? How tricky is it to use?
